A Trip to Douds

On saturaday we took a trip to Douds apple orchard with Grandma and Grandpa G. (the kids spent the night with them). When I got to their house to go Rachel saw me and took three steps towards me!!!! After loading up and getting there Brandon helped pick pumpkins for Rachel, himself, and Mam & Pap. We then took a trip around the orchard on a wagon, Rachel got a bit fussy because we woke her up from her nap when we got there. After the wagon ride we picked out some apples and cidar to take home, we then had a carmel apple and some popcorn. What a fun fall day!!

Also on Thursday we had routine doctor appointments Brandon's was for preschool...and is doing just great 44' and 56 lbs. Rachel had her nine month check and is also is doing great she is 27 1/4' and 19 lbs 3 ozs she is in the 5oth percentile for weight and the 25th for height...she is going to be short like her mama!!

Conversations with Brandon

A couple of weeks ago Brandon and I were talking on the way out to my moms and he said "Mom I want to go see Meme....but she is probably working." and I said "no she doesn't work she is retired" he then said "what is re-fired mean" I said "no retired and it means you don't have to go to work anymore." So he said "well I want you to retire too mom..." oh out of the mouths of babes....me too buddy me too!

Lady Norse....Win

Its been a busy week and its only tuesday. Peggy wanted to use my services to record her daughter Allison playing volleyball so I loaded up and headed to Southwood for a VERY intense away game! I had never been to a volleyball game and I would say that I picked a good one to go to, although I did feel slightly guilty for cheering the nemesis on! (just kidding Peg)

Also on another GREAT note is I don't have to go to work until friday so I get to spend quality time with the kids!!!!

Senior Picture Session

Tonight I had my first senior picture session!!! Its like I'm a professional or something!! I was so nervous but I think it went well, I guess we will see what mom thinks! Here are a few of my favorite pics....

Rachel said mama...I'm so happy...even though she has already said dada, bubu, and kitta (kitty). I doesn't matter it just made me feel so loved! Also today was Rachel's nine month photo shoot...so here are some favorites of course we included bubu in the session!!

Fall Fun Begins

My absolutely favorite time of year is fall and today it truly began for me...we went to the Koh-Koh-Mah reenactment (kind of like 1812 just not as well known). We walked around for a little while and Brandon was a slightly scared of the Indians, but he soon got over that so we watched the battle for a bit, then Rachel got scared because to of the big booms. Brandon decided to make a candle it was very neat, he walked around in a circle dipping his wick in pots of wax after five trips around he had a beautiful red candle! After that we left and though Hobby Lobby was calling my name we bypassed that but we did stop at East End for a tasty treat!!! YUM!!
