Tender Moments

I finally downloaded some older pics off of my other camera and found this one I think Brandon took (yes he is already in training!) and I just love it. I miss the moments were my babies would just snuggle with me.....i think i'm getting the baby bug....but shhhhh don't tell jess!!

Just to get on record

So I just needed to get this down so I have it as proof for future reference! BOTH Kids WANTING to VACUUM

Touring Rome in search of Paul and the Underground Church

VBS was last week and although it was an incredibly busy week for me it was so fun and worth the effort! My assistant family leader was Nicole and we had a blast dressing up like tourists ready to hit Rome....the other leaders enjoyed having a chuckle over our hats and sunscreen noses!! We did everything from singing and dancing to necklace making to shot put and pulling each other on our "chariots" We also learned what it would be like to have to meet in secret and unsure who you could trust about your faith, we also learned how awesome it is to share your faith with others and help them come to know and love Jesus as you do. My only prayer about the week is that I did Jesus justice with sharing his truths with my kids. They were an awesome bunch of kids and will be powerful for Jesus and I can't wait to see the plan he has for their lives.

First 2009 trip to the Zoo

Well this year we decided to buy a zoo pass so the plan is to take lots of trips to the zoo this year! The actual deciding factor was we get a awesome discount at the cinncy zoo (were we plan to go later this summer!) So after the vision walk we headed on over to the zoo and we had a really great time the new African area was open and so super AWESOME! Very lush with lots of water features and much closer to and many more animals!
the girl lion (which you can't see) was born on my birthday!

This guy just so kindly stopped to pose for me!

Vision Walk 2009

On the 13th we loaded up and headed to Fort Wayne to walk in the 3rd annual vision walk. This was the first time that the family went with me and we had a good time. It's three miles so we took the wagon for the kids but we thought Brandon would walk most of the way but he wanted to ride....so needless to say Jesse's arms were a little sore the next day! Our Group!
thanks for the backside shot peg! (she borrowed my camera!)

This months theme is before and after meaning your sooc version and then the edited version. I will be the first to admit there are days I love my pse6 and others I would just rather throw it out the window!

I have been following this blog for awhile now but have yet to join in. This week the theme is birthdays and I instantly thought of this picture of Rachel's first birthday. She loved that cupcake and for those of you that got to witness this you'll remember that she started chomping away and didn't stop until she ate her whole way through that cupcake! If you want to check out other awesome birthday or pet entrys head on over to http://www.iheartfaces.blogspot.com/

Fun at the park

One of our favorite summer activites is trips to the "big" park and of course we HAVE to follow this up with ice cream from Kelly's!
Brandon loves the teter-toter and there just isn't very many of them around like when were kids...anyone remember the "cherry bomb" I made a girl pee her pants I bombed her so hard one time (yes I did feel really bad!)
She always has to copy big brother!
One of Rachels favorite things is to be thrown up into the air...I just wish you could hear the giggle that goes along with that big ole smile!

Prayer House

Last week I was asked to sign up to pray for an entire hour at the Prayer house that was opened in Wabash by some ladies from our church. I thought I don't know an entire hour I don't know if I can do it but I'll sign up once and give it a try. So Wednesday came and I went the hour flew by I did feel very distracted and quickly released it was Satan hard at work but once I asked for focus God's peace just settled over me. There is an entire wall filled with prayer requests and I just stood at reading and praying over these unnamed peoples request. It was such an amazing blessing to focus on others in need. I actually had come to the house with a very heavy burden on my heart I had been praying about and just not feeling Gods leading or any change in the situation to be able to move forward. So I left my prayer concern on the wall and when I left I just felt so reverent and at peace even on resolution was on the horizon. (at least on my horizon) But God had other intentions! That evening after about five hours after my request went on the wall my prayer was answered...I was able to get answers from the situation that had been stagnant for days. God is so awesome!! I have been back again and have signed up for a day this week as well I want this to become a habit for myself I have been praying for time to focus and grow closer to God but something always comes up now He is just intentionally built into my day.

And since I can't post with out a picture these flowers Brandon picked for me (with the help from Pap) now if only he could train his Dad!

Memerial Day with the Culvers...and not the ice cream!

We are so blessed to have such good friends to hang out and the coolest thing is our kids love each other!! We gathered at our house and eat hot dogs off the grill and all the fixin's then watched a movie then went outside to jumpy in the moon bounce the boys also through the football around and of course had to get a little wrestling in! After they got their energy out we came back inside to eat yummy brownies....Colby tells me I need to enter the brownie challenge on Food Network! (he just wants more brownies!)

American Idol Party

We had our fifth annual american idol MWEC party....they are always so fun this year Angie came prepared with jell-o shots and we entertained ourselves with a swap party. Mo made us AI money and we were able to bid on items we wanted I wanted an awesome green purse that Andrea and I both wanted and bid all our money on then had to have a sing-off in honor of AI. Since we were both terrible they then made us draw straws since they didn't want to have to pick! And I Won!! It was a really fun night...all our girl nights are a blast though!!
Boggs enjoying her jello!
Andrea during our sing-off (she totally cheated and karaoke'd to Queen on Idol)
see we did actually watch the show!
The anticipation....go Kris!!
And the winner is.....KRIS!!!!
