Searching and Searching...for Easter Eggs

We meet up with the Culvers to have a joint egg hunt at mom and dad's house...Nicole and I got together on Thursday for coffee and egg filling and in the merriment of coffee drinking we forgot to count the eggs but we think we had around 145-165 and we found 155ish so maybe Dad will find some while mowing this summer! The kids had an awesome they all ended up with TONS of candy and each found a "special" egg with a big reese egg and a dollar in it!

The kids just ran around looking high and low I couldn't
believe how fast the found them all.

Ramblings.....

So its been forever since I have last blogged...I will blame it on sickness! So what has been happening in our lives you ask well hold on and I will tell you!

Brandon had Kindergarten Round up March 4th so we are getting closer to that big step in his life...he also had his shots the week before when Rachel went for hers he was not too happy to get there and be told he got shots as well. Then when the nurse said it was going to be in his leg you would have thought they said they had to cut his leg off! He was so embarassed to have to pull is pants down but quickly recovered and was relived when I told him he wouldn't be having shots next week when all the other kids would get theirs.

He also got to go skating for a class party he had lots of fun I wasn't able to go but Mom and Dad went so he had Pap to help him stay up but he proudly told me that by the end of the morning he was able to stay up all by himself and did really well on the limbo (was one of the last to be out) I was so proud of that he is carrying on my legacy!

Then Jesse turned 30! We decided we would take alittle mini vacation and go to Fort Wayne go to Science Central and just have fun. Well the weekend didn't go quite as planned...we all got sick except for Jesse...but crazy me decided to go anyways...so Brandon threw up on the way there, we started running fevers and were achey, Brandon threw up again in the elevator of the hotel, then good news Brandon and Rachel woke up and felt better but I still felt terrible, then we get online to double check directions to Science Central and they are closed on mondays so we couldn't do that...are you getting the idea it just wasn't a whole lot of fun! So we ended up going to Toys R Us so Brandon could get a new bike then to the mall and just shopped around then came home.



The next day was supposed to be back to normal but I got sent home from work because I was so sick and snotting around...I battled the sickness for over a week then went to the Dr. and had a sinus infection so got some meds and am getting back to normal they also found my thyroid to be enlarged and she wanted some blood work done she said if that came back normal then she would want an ultrasound done. So we will see what comes of that.

Brandon had his Easter party on Wedensday and came home with the cutest bunny he had made and a bag full of goodies!

We have also been able to get outside and enjoy some of the warmth of Spring!

So I think we are all caught up...I will try and be a better blogger in the future!!

Valentine Love

Brandon celebrated valentine's day at school on Wednesday with a party...he came home with a ton of cards and candy! Then on Saturday I made pink heart shaped pancakes for the kids which they devoured! Then they opened their valentine presents a cute outfit for Rachel (Rachel showing off her new outfit and her super cute pigtails!!) and a transformers kite and spongebob book for Brandon. Then Jesse and I celebrated by having my sister watch the kids and renting a movie (The Women) very good by the way! and Jesse cooked dinner of steaks on the grill and salad I must also mention that he got me roses and chocolates!!!!

Also I want to mention that Brandon is just growing up right in front of our eyes he says as we are getting ready to fix lunch that he wanted to fix his own lunch he proceeded to get the bread, jelly, and peanut butter and fix himself a sandwich. I had tears in my eyes just realizing how grown up he is becoming.

Bowling Fun

On Friday we decided to take the kids bowling Brandon has been bugging us for months to go again so we went and did the pizza and bowling it was so much fun! Even Rachel wanted to help me bowl she would push the ball towards me but not down the lane...maybe next time she will be ready to push it down the lane!

Scrapin' Fun

Well last Friday Cindy Lorissa Nicole and I loaded up Lorissa's vehicle to the brim I will add! We then headed off to Shipshewana for an entire weekend of scrapin, quilting, laughing and eating! On Friday we did a little preshopping so we could check out what we wanted to get the next morning on sale. We found our favorite store already had there sale going on and they also said they are going out of business...we wanted to cry. We then headed to the Garden Cafe for the pasta special for $2.99 we couldn't ask for a better deal! The cafe was decorated in cupcakes..to eat and hanging on the walls it was SO CUTE! We then headed back to the camp to get started on our projects I had a hard time getting started but after shopping on Saturday mind you we got up at 5:30 am...yes in the morning these friends of mine are CRAZY!! We had loads of fun though and found lots of good stuff so much in fact we weren't sure how we were going to get everything home. The best deal of the weekend was grabbed by Lorissa and it was a Cricut (Lorissa's awesome new toy)I was so excited for her and the sales girl was as excited as I was! So after heading back to start working again (Nicole working hard)I made it to about 10:30 and needed a break so I went to take a shower then laid down in bed to stretch out (while reading) then Nicole came to check on me and we got to chatting then Lorissa came to check on us she joined the chatting then Cindy came up. We just chatted and chatted until all the other ladies came up for bed we then couldn't stop laughing so we headed back downstairs except for Lorissa who pooped out for bed. We stayed up until 3:00 am being totally silly! (Cindy being really silly...trying to see if she would fit inside her bag!) Then Sunday morning came waaay to quick! After breakfast we got busy for a few more hours (I'm working hard to get the last few pages done) then I counted up all my completed pages.....the grand total....53!!! Yes I know impressive right! After lunch we packed up all our stuff and our new finds it all actually fit! I was sad to quit scrapbooking but very ready to see the family!!

Lights....

My lights have arrived and I am so EXCITED!!! I don't have time to post any pics but I did shoot some off of Brandon and the reason I don't have time you ask because I am getting ready to leave for a weekend retreat to scrapbook, shop and eat to my hearts content!!!! I will post some pics of the kids after I get back!!

Playing in the Snow

After I got off work last Wednesday I went to Mom and Dad's house and played in the snow with the kids. We had so much fun...expect when Rachel landed face first in the snow. After a trip inside to recover she then got ticked off she wasn't outside playing so we went back outside to play some more!
