Election Day.....2008

This will be an important day in american history we have yet to hear the outcome but I just have to remember above all else that the Lord is in charge and he has a plan and that plan is to prosper....jer 29:11 It may not be as a nation [prosperity]but He is most assuredly is leading this family....my prayer is that we will continue to grow and turn to Him in all things no matter who is in charge of this nation.

Lord, please guide this family watch over us daily, guide us in the decisions that we make as parents guide us to be the parents you want us to be. Let our eyes focus only on You and not to be wrapped up in the goings on of the world. amen.

Trick or Treat

Superman and a Butterfly decided to work together to see how much candy could be rounded up in just a few short hours. They both were just so gosh darn cute they came away with two bucket fulls!

Friday (Halloween) I got to stay home with the kids. Brandon and I made sugar cookies out of colored dough we created rainbows, hot dogs, hamburgers, tacos, smiley faces, and even a spongebob.

Today we picked up the kids since they spent the night at mom and dad's house (jess and I had to work) we took some family pictures in the woods. We then left their house and went to the reservoir to play around we ended up at the spillway and Brandon loved climbing the stairs then him and Dad played on the playground. Also Rachel is standing up by herself now and walking so good, we are never going to be able to keep up now!

Pumpkin Carving....The Lawson Way

We carved pumpkins tonight although Brandon didn't want to touch the guts Rachel had no problem getting in on the action! He did enjoy cutting out the face and he insisted that the pumpkin go out on the porch for all to see!
Sis spent the night also and we wrapped up the evening playing Rock Band. No work for me tomorrow and after Jess gets home we are off to trick or treat....not that Brandon needs any more sugar after the preschool party.

Halloween...Preschool Style

Well we got a letter requesting that parents sign up for treats (last week) for the preschool Halloween party I was VERY excited to see the blank next to homemade cookies open! So I made some of my delicious iced sugar cookies in pumpkin, ghost, and cat shapes. Brandon helped of course although he didn't get to help with the icing because we had the fall party for pioneer club at church last night and by the time we got home it was bedtime so Jesse helped instead!
So when I picked him up to day he was LOADED down with goodies....can we say sugar rush! He also came home with the fall crafts he had made...an acorn, cat, and a bat they were all very well made and super cute! Brandon also reported they played lots of games and the cookies were a big hit (yea for mom!!)

Our weekend....

Friday I went to Mi Pueblos with Lorissa and Nancy to celebrate my birthday....27! On Saturday I fought a cold all day...but did find the time between naps to start the four dozen cookies for Brandon to take to preschool on Wednesday for his Halloween party I also made strawberry bread for MOPS. We then finished baking the cookies on Sunday but will ice them later in the week. We mostly just hung out as a family and rested! (I needed it, I don't know about the rest of the clan)

Wedding picture delivery

I dropped off the wedding proofs....and they loved them!! I was so excited! I have been so nervous about giving them over just because I thought they might be disappointed but they weren't!!!

I also found out today that Dr.G is having some health issues and will be out of the office for the entire month of November....I'm not sure how that will affect my job or if he will be coming back full time even....Four Seasons needs to get booming!

Falling Leaves

This was how I spent Sunday the 19th, working with six beautiful families, these are a few of best of the day.
